? about joining LIRA

I have been debating whether or not to join LIRA. I am new to reef keeping but been into FOWLR for about 10 years. My question is would it be worth it to join even though i can never make the meetings (i can't make them due to i work 3pm - 11pm m-f). Hoping to gather input from members and ppl of the board. Thanks in advance

Well to start your membership card will entitle you to discounts @ many stores on the island.
If you come to Family Fun day @ Atlantis entrance fees for the immediate family ( wife & kids ) is waived.
These alone can make up the membership fee quickly.

Is there a list of places that will give discounts to LIRA members?

There are quite a few LFSs that give discounts that range from 10 to 15% (May even be one that offers 20%). The actual list of stores, and exact discount they offer has never been made public, AFAIK. That way non members can't claim the discount

I'm sorry, I'm not a LIRA member any more. I don't have a current list. If you're a member, you should be able to find the info you seek on the LIReef.org site/members' only section.
