What exactly does a majano anemone look like. What kind of mouth and base do they have? Anyone have any good pictures?

Here you go, taken straight from google.

Thank you! When I googled it, I kept getting a mixture of pictures of not very good pictures and of cup corals and aptasia and some other kind of things. Now for some reason with your picture of it, I am getting better choices.

The reason I am looking is because I have been finding these little things in my tank on the rock all of a sudden that I can't tell if they are cup corals or majano's. Mine have a slit like mouth and a foot like an anemone or yuma. I have not been able to get a good picture of them myself because of where they are located. They may be cup corals but they are showing up underneath things. They have little white balls on the end of the tentacles.

if they are mojanos I would try and take care of them asap. They can overrun your tank and be very frustrating. I am actually starting a new tank because of the mojanes that are overtaking my tank. That and my tangs need more room to swim. This time I am doing all dry rock and go through a complete cycle. JMO

they are harmless but can overrun your tank like weeds. Look up people battling with aptasia and mojanos. A couple may look ok but when you start to see them popping up everywhere it's not so pleasant and quite unattractive

Wait, ball anemones are not the same thing as majano and aptasia. Are they like them?
