? about my new Purple tipped Sebae Anemone

I bought a Purple tipped Sebae Anemone last weekend. And I'm not sure if it's doing well or not.

It's in a 90g RR w/55g sump.

Lighting is a Aqua lunar power compact w/ 2 65 watt 10,000 k (there is 2 bulbs per socket which makes 4 total) and 2 65 watt Actinic 3( again there is 2 bulbs per socket making 4 total bulbs).

Mag 12 from sump to main tank. No other power heads at this time. That's the only water movement.

ASM skimmer G3 in the sump. (working better than I could have ever asked)

75 Lbs of live rock I've had for a little over a year, and 60 Lbs of base rock from Hirocks which has only been in the tank for a week and a half now.

Sand bed is a good 3 inches is most of the tank, some area's only 1 inch.

When I brought this anemone home I acclimated by drip method for 3 hours, scooping out the water as the bag became full. For the first 2 days it did just fine. I had placed it in the middle of the tank height wise on a piece of LR in a hole under pretty good water movement. But on the third day when I woke up it was not there. It was located farther down on another rock on it's side. So I moved it back up. When I came home I found it up side down on the sand bed. So I move it up on the lower rocks. Again later that night I found it back on the sand bed again! I left it be on the sand bed. It has been eating silver sides during this time always ready to take them. Is it normal for them to move or am I placing it in to strong of a current? And is it normal in the morning for it to be shrunk up when I turn the lights on? It does open up and extend it tips which are then thick and fairly bubbled after about 30 min to an hour. I know these things die very slowly and I don't want that to happen. Are there any signs they give when something is wrong?
Everything else I have is doing just fine.
Thanks in advance.

Sebae's don't attach to rocks. I think they prefer being in the sand and hiding their base in there.

Also, for a sebae, I don't know if that's enough lighting.

Do a little research, I know there's a lot out there for this one.

Not near enough light. I would take it back. It will probably survive for a month or two but will eventually die. Anemone require intense lighting. Also the true color of the tips should be brown with purple tips not white with purple tips. It will move quite often till it finds a spot where it is happy. In a tank with insufficient lighting that means it will move constantly trying to find it's light requirements. HTH

Sebae's need near perfect water guality and MH lights. I would take it back or you could give it to me. JJ

Ok thanks for the info. I have the MH kit and two 250 watt 14 k bulbs. It looks like I'm going to have to build my canopy quickly then and get them hooked up. Thank you for your input.

Here's an idea for you if you want to have a anemone with your current lighting.

Marine Solutions has some cool looking flower anemones right now for just $15 (I think that's the price). They are neon green. They are doing well there under VHO lighting. Although clown fish will not host in them, they are still cool looking and a cheap date if you want to try them out.
