About to purchase my firsh fish which is going to be a purple firefish. Question I have is what is the best type of food to feed it?

Mine stays in the water current of my MP40 and waits for any type of food that floats by.................. he eats mysis, pellets, reef chips, live & frozen brine shrimp. He occasionally takes food floating from the surface also. but they take all types of foods

Mine isn't a picky eater. He eats pellets, flakes, frozen, anything.

I have a 200+gal tank and i feed sometimes 1-5 times a day depending on if and when i am home. My tank is fully stocked.

Mine ate 3x a day, frozen mysis primarily. I think you can just feed it once a day, but not too certain. I had mine with anthias so I had to feed more frequently than you may need to.

Thanks for the feedback. Might try to feed twice a day, once when I leave for work and then when I get home. I was thinking of varying its food by using pellets in the morning and frozen in the evening. Is there any brand of food that is better than the other? Is there any brand I should stay away from?

I feed mine PE Mysis once a day. I've had him for 4 months and he's doing great. Every once in awhile I'll do a second feeding with New Life Spectrum pellets and he eats those too.
