Abusive Fishes?

I wonder if anyone else has fish in there tank. That makes them a little nervous of putting their hands in the tank? I have a Blue Devil Damsel who owns the right side of my tank. Just an area I would say is about 3 by 12 inches. He likes to attack my hand whenever I am fixing that area or siphoning algae out. Doesn’t hurt, but it feel like someone just keeps pricking you with a dull needle. I am happy it’s him biting me and not my Maroon clown. She just smacks me with her tail, when I am near her cave area.

i don't have any aggressive fish but i have a ginormous brittle star that likes to wrap his arms around my fingers. i don't necessarily mind it but sometimes he grabs me from behind a rock where i can't see him. that freaks me out!

I used to have a pair of maroon clownfish that would draw blood. There are many fish in this hobby that will take a nip if given the opportunity.

My female ocellaris LOVES to bite me when I'm working in the tank. It started after I taught her to eat from my hand. I cut that nonsense out and the biting stopped for awhile. Then I added a bta....

My 2 Occ clownfish would always hide when I put my hand in the tank.

Now that they established their sex, the female will ALWAYS come and nip at me while I am working inside the tank. It's very annoying and the first time it happened, it caught me by surprise. I thought I experienced a coral sting or something, but realized it was my fish.

I have to use my other hand with a poker/turkey baster to scare it / distract her from biting my working hand.

My condylactis anemone tries to catch me and eat me every time I get close to him. Its only slightly disturbing now, may get weirder as he grows...

I recommend exam gloves with coral: our fingers (especially when they waste time harpooning us) harm the corals, and b) many, many hobbyists and lfs owners turn allergic even to the water in the tank, after too many coral stings.

The gloves will also help with the fishy bites.

And for handling anything ooky or spiny.
