AC Jr groupbuy, what do you all think?

Nah mannnnnn~! After getting my ReefKeeper 2, no way I would get an AC Jr. This thing is tiny and just awsome for my needs. The controller is smaller then a Razor phone and is going to look nice in my canopy as soon as I get one.

Super easy to use just like Rogger said. Can't wait to get the pH probe calibrated so I put it in to full effect.

P.S. PM me the price, I just want to know. lol

Nice! I don't know which one I am getting, why do you choose the RK2 over the AC Jr.? PM sent on price.

1) Looks good
2) SUPER easy to use
3) No "upgrade" serial port
4) New firmware coming out w/ "Data Logging" feature
5) Has 2 outlets for them bulky plugs
6) 1 wire comes from the display and not 2 or 3...
7) I ran out of more stuff to say

Look a few pages back for the thread... or I will do it for you.

I like how it can turn on my fans to cool my tank down, but the AC Jr. can do that too.

Also the AquaController Jr can control both a heater and chiller to maintain a stable temperature environment in the tank. The heater and/or chiller enable and disable temperatures can be set independently. Given the tank has an adequate heater and chiller, the temperature can be maintained within +-.3 °F.

Additionally, the AquaController Jr has many more features for temperature control. For example, if the temperature of the tank exceeds a preset value, the AquaController Jr can turn on a fan to cool the tank. If the temperature rises higher, an additional fan or chiller can be enabled. If the temperature rises even higher, lights can be shut off. There is really no limit to the number of ways that the AquaController Jr can control the temperature.

Also, the AquaController Jr has a special temperature cycle which is used to simulate seasonal temperature variations. All of the above mentioned features for temperature control are available in this mode as well; only the target temperature set point varies with the day of the year. This mode of operation is most interesting to the serious aquarist trying to induce his corals and fish to spawn.

Oh yeah Brain?! Well... we don't have a special temperature cycle yet... I'll be sure to request Digital Aquatics to write that up in the next firmware release. :P

Its a he said, she said type of deal from here. lol

You have to admit, the RK2 is a seller when you look at it. Everything looks professionally made and well worth the price. On the other hand, the AC Jr. looks like it was assembled in someone's garage.

Not knocking on the AC Jr. or pushing any buttons so please don't kill me. :D

if anyone want a aqua jr I need a dc8 and will make a deal with you to help you get your jr upgraded for free for helping me.

Anyways..... all who are interested in the AC Jr. please jump on the group buy described in the original link.

It truly is an incredible deal; and is only available for a couple of days.

Thanks,
Craig
