Hey Travis,

It is in addition to the serial cable, they are around $40 for the GISC. The serial cable connects to the GISC and then to your PC. You could always see what happens w/out it, they arent always needed. I had to get one for my old Aquacontroller and I know several others also had to use one, but that is not always the case.

I may not need it since I can't run it on the internet anyway, but it is nice to know that my pH might flip out. I am figuring on starting my new reactor when this arrives so sudden pH jumps or drops could make me a bit edgy....

So far I haven't needed the filter. It's surprising because I already have a ground loop from my stereo and guitar hooked into the computer... Guess I got lucky for once.
