acan difference

ok im new to alot of the lps how do you tell the differnce between acan lords and other acans, i have been reading that one acan can kill another type of acan. thanks

i believe acan lords polyps are smaller than acan echinata polyps. i do know for sure that acan echinata will kill acan lords.

Acan lords are the acans that have individual polyps.
One of mine:

Acanestra echinatas and others that I have seen are a little harder to tell apart. Echinatas are all together and have somewhat larger mouths than say ..rotundiflora.Picture of one here:
