A bit, but mainly because I have my lights cranked right up for my clams. If I turn them down the colouration improves.
I havent lost the reds but crimsons become scarlets if you know what I mean:lolspin:
My experience has been t5s over leds for overall color, growth and polyp extension.
However, it's hard to top the look of royal blue leds at dawn and dusk.
I go straight LED on everything. I am happy with them and they are growing everything I put under them. My acans colonies are under very low LEDs so they are getting blasted. I would not start them like that. But over the course of several days or a couple weeks, I move them closer and closer until they are nestled in among SPS frags and doing total fine. I have to be careful because from time to time, they puff up enough and sting an SPS frag.
My acans must not like me. I have full spectrum reefbreeders LEDs. 72 watt Cree fixtures he used to have on site. They since are gone since the photon series. But my acans dont puff up at all. They don't seem to be loosing flesh and I see feeders out at night. I have them on sand bed as well
