I feed mine a mix. I use Kent Microvert, Coral Frenzy and a frozen mix like LRS. I target feed once or twice a month but broadcast feed 2 or 3 times a week. I've got several acan and micromusa frags and they are all doing well and adding heads.
I use it. It's good for any coral that requires very small particle sized food. SPS, clams, filter feeders etc. I occasionally add some to the tank to broadcast feed.
My acans are not dead they still have flesh, how do I bring them back. They got turned over by my Wrasse digging in for the night and I didn't notice for a couple days.
As long as you have good water parameters and it's in a low light and low flow area it should come back. You could do an iodine dip to help it avoid bacteria infection.
I guess I will have to mount it, my blue hippo keeps tossing it around as a toy and it keeps landing upside down. A couple other fish have joined in to play, it's their new fav thing. Ugh.
Interesting what the fish are doing - It sounds like play behavior. Never heard about that from fish before besides surfing a powerhead or something. You should get a video of that.
I would test your acan frag at its proposed permanent location before committing to epoxy & glue if you can. Mild broad flow, lower light. GL.
Thanks, I came home from work and my lights were already off. I will try tomorrow morning but my lights aren't on. It so funny! They just toss it around like a toy.
