Acan lighting

can i put Acans under 2 18 watt pc's about 4 inches down?

I would always start them low to begin with. What size tank is this?

It's an 8 gal tank

How deep is the tank?

I think I would still start them on the sand bed for acclimation and then gradually move them upward toward the light.

I kept a few Acan frags in a 10g under 36 watts of simple T5's for months and they did great on the sand bed. I don't think they need a lot of light.

I have a larger tank with more lighting, but I agree. Start on the bottom and work your way up until it is where you like it and the coral is opening fully.
