Acan question

So I had an acan that was doing well then I had an issue with my phosphate dropping too fast and almost killed it along with several other corals. It survived but half of it is dead skeleton now. Should I try and frag it so only the live tissue is left for it to grow out again or should I leave as is and will new tissue grow across the skeletal tissue?

any full polyp that is dead, wont grow back, if you have a polyp that is half flesh and half skeleton, it can recover. but the other polyps, once healthy, can begin to grow over the dead skeletons creating new polyps, but it wont really use the skeleton, it will just form new skeleton above it. so it really doesnt matter whether you cut it or not.

ok cool as ive never fragged anything beyond Zoas I think ill leave this one be for now since the heads it does still have are beautiful and very healthy atm.
