I don't know about acans not being aggressive. I had one fall on a favia/favites before, and the favia/favites never recovered. Personally, I wouldn't risk it.
I agree, acans are very aggressive. I had a colonly of zoa's fall on top of an orange crush for about an hour. The acans had their polyps a little shrunk when I detached the two and was fine in 5-10 minutes. It killed a 2" area of zoa's.
well, last time i put the acan lord close to my zoas, i ended up with bunch white bacteria balls.
and my rics are 5" away from my acan echinate, it still eat up 2 polyps of them overnight.
the acan family are aggressive.
