Acceptable "show" fish for 65G suggestions

I went through the same deal as you trying to find a nice "show" fish for my 65 gallon. Tried the dwarf angels and they either passed away or terrorized my corals. Then tried a 2" purple tang, which did extremely well, but tripled in size in 6 months. After much research decided to go with a rabbitfish. Found a real nice Scribbled Rabbitfish at the LFS. He immediately went about grazing on the rocks. Hope he does well.

I think a bristletooth tang is a fine choice for a 65g. Look forward to some pics

IMO a Scott's Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus scottorum) from the Cook Islands would make the perfect center piece for your tank! Check them out...

Here is what I ended up with, apparently he is called a two-spot Tang. Very similar to a Kole but with blue eyes. My wife has agreed that I can do a 120G tank so he'll be moved to a larger home in the next few months. I went into the LFS with the intention of finding a Swallowtail (female) but came home with a Tang and new plans for a 120, lol.

Though their is nothing wrong with this suggestion, it is not a must. I have kept singles, pairs, and trios successfully. Again, depends on the species...

What I have learned about keeping fish for long periods of time is most of the time.. the suggestions hold true...

I went through 3 naso tangs before I realized that my tank just doesnt have enough swimming room for them to be truly happy.

My success rate with corals is about 90-95%.. fish 50%..and at an average of $25 + a fish...

I take most suggestions to heart.

Siganus doliatus (Scribbled Rabbitfish)
Siganus magnificus (Magnificent Rabbitfish)
Siganus vulpinis (Foxface Lo)

I picked the Foxface even though is the shyer of the bunch. They are readily available and a lot cheaper.

:lol: not all foxfaces are cheaper. the magnificent foxface is definitly the better looking one, but the more expensive!

I finally got a better picture of him. The spot on his head went away and he is out and about picking away at the rocks like a good little tang.
