Achilles Tang help

I came home 2 days to find a chunk of my Achilles' dorsal fin torn off. He's the most dominant fish in the tank so I don't believe he got into a fight with anyone but i ain't sure what happened neither. I made a huge drunken mistake by just putting him in the tank immediately after buying him from the LFS, but that was a year ago. He got ich along the way but by feeding him food soaked in selcon and vitachem and garlic, he's fought all that off. But now his fin is ripped and he's starting to get ich again. He's still eating like a pig and his behavior is still pretty much the same, but he's just a tad more cautious due to his injury. I'd rather avoid trying to stress him out more by trying to catch him and also with all his bones sticking out, I'd also not want him to get tied up in the net which would be even more stressful. I have a reef tank so was just wondering if there's anything I can use or do to help him heal based on the decision I made to leave him in. Any help and advice with be greatly appreciated.

What size tank is it in? What are the tankmates? What is your water chemistry like? How much flow do you have?

There is ick in your display. The only way to rid the display of Cryptocaryon is leaving it fishless for 8-10 weeks.

If the Achilles was mine I would remove and treat in a hospital tank. He has ick and, with a ripped fin, a clear path for bacterial infection.
