Achilles/Tennenti compatibilty

Just curious if anybody has had success keeping these two tangs in the same tank? I've already got an Achilles and would like to add a Tennenti sometime in the future if possible. I just don't want to have two acanthurus tangs end in disaster.

I would think it would be very risky but it also depends on the size of your tank and the other inhabitants. There have been people with 20 different tangs in their 600 gallon tanks without aggression, that doesnt mean it's recommended.

The problem is similar shaped Acanthurus in the tank. Tennenti and Achilles are completely different.

What size is your tank as it would have a higher probability of working the bigger it is.

The shape issue did cross my mind. That's why I wanted to see if anybody had tried them together. Tank is 96" long x 36" wide x 30" tall.

Wow, great choices on the Tangs. Those two are probably at the top of my Tang Favorites list! Let us know how it goes? GL!

FWIW I have multiple Acanthurus of different shapes in mine.

Similarly to your request I have a Tennenti and PBT with no problems.
