acid cleaning - base rock

I just soaked about 400# of base rock in 15% muratic acid; rinsed & am now soaking overnight.
I'm not sure if there is an easy way to remove the acid. Continuous soaking in water until the PH is near the tank level (8.2) is probably one approach.
I think I read that therock can sit out in direct sun until dry is another option. This would be a lot easier than many changes in the water tubs.

Is drying in the sun a safe option or is there another recommentation?

Thanks for the link. I didn't read all 12 pages but Randy did answer my question. Where would we all be, without his great advise.
I'm soaking in tap water for about 16 hours & will test the PH level. If good, I dry them in the sun until dry (that part is easy down here in Florida). If PH is low then I'll repeat the soaking. Jim

Agree, Randy's input here has been huge, and much appreciated.
I save alot of stuff he has written simply because it's all too much for me to take in at one time or remember.
