When two acros are competing for space, who wins?
I have a Reefer Madness Rainbow Nasuta that is spreading out and competing with two corals beside it.
The first acro it came in contact with was a Shawn Bennet Yellow Tort. The Nasuta bases over the tort and slowly takes over the territory.
The second coral it started to come in contact with is an ORA Joe the Coral. The branches of the Nasuta turn white when it comes close to JtC which has long shaggy polyps.
On the other side of my tank I have a thick branched Yellow Stag that is branching into a Blue Tenius. The Tenius seems to be winning this battle. The Tenius has long polyps as well.
I'm curious what others observe in their tanks. Do long polyp acros generally win in a territorial battle against other acros?
