i have some acros now but want to buy some new ones. i am interested in a green Acropora humilis.
how hard are Acropora humilis to keep? do they need more flow than other acros?

Humilis acros do need a good amount of flow to maintain their natural "shape". I've seen them kept with les than ideal flow and the branches grow out very thin, which looks somewhat unusual for this coral. FWIW, the green varieties are relatively easy to maintain the color, while the purple and blues tend to be more difficult, IME.

Hope that helps.

That humilis from live aquaria is going to be tough to acclimate to your water, keep healthy and grow out. Especially if it's one thick 1 inch branch. Make sure it has multiple branches or get ready to roll the dice...
