Acro coral id help needed.

Hey guys, picked this up as a WYSIWYG. Wondering if someone recognized it.

Also is there another way to post a picture here besides attachments.

not sure on the ID, but its a neat looking coral. for posting pictures, go to www.photobucket.com and sign up for an account. After you log in and upload a picture to your account the site will give you an IMG code, which you just copy and paste into here. your pic would then show up in a post like this:

I quit trying to ID Acropora to species many years ago.

yeah, it seems between zoanthids and acros there is a huge species ID issue. Not an acro expert at all. Actually the one i had in the PC only tank has coraline groing on it. Im guessing its dead.

Because of my lack of experience i plan on turning the one large colony into many smaller ones. I will then trade them at the swap in case i have issues. I normally make mistakes when learning in this hobby and the MH are new to me so im excited. Also unless some one cares to correct im going to name this coral - Lavender Tip Pillow

I'd lean towards A. kimbeensis.

This site isn't quite the same as the old Aims site that used to exist, but still a bit helpful.
