Acro crab

Thanks! according to google...basically furry+ black claws=most likely bad..... mine is not furry at all and is orange and white :D I think I am all good. I will keep an eye on him though.

do you dip your corals? it would be a good practice to dip them and examine for any red bugs, aefw, and acro eating crabs

you are correct on the acro and the white guys are completely harmless. They usually come in on wild and maricultured colonies. However, I've noticed that these guys usually end up dieing off in the long run if the acro isn't large enough and / or if there isn't enough food for them in the system.

I have mixed feelings about the ones with blue eyes and black claws. I think the size of the acro is going to play a big role is this one. Personally, I think they are much more aggressive but in the long run they are just creating room for new growth.

Just me 2 cents but others may feel the opposite. If you are just getting into sps corals, I would avoid the ones with blue eyes and black claws.
