Is there such a thing, never heard them before, i've had tissue ression on two acro's in my tank recently, everything else is doing well,
and this is what i found on them after inspecting them around the receding area, could they be eating the them ?
That doesnt' look like the known acro eating starfish, however there are many different species. The asterina was likely eating alage, but if you see it eating live tissue i would invest in a harlequin shrimp.
they were most likely eating algae or the dead tissue on the coral. If you have zoas watch out for the asterina star fish in the second pic. There are some that will chow down on your zoas. I've lost a lot of zoas cause of them, now I just pick them off any zoa plug i see them on.
