Acro gobies and aefw

I read somewhere that acro gobies can aid in the aefw battle? Anyone tried this ? I know or read also that they can irritate the corals a little but unless colony's are big? It won't cause to much damage

I believe that they help. I have two and the acropora corals with them are bug free as are the ones around it. They move between corals. Every now and then I will find a AEFW in another coral but not near the Gobies corals.

Ah I know this little guy great looking fish, Some say they are not reef safe because they pick on SPS, But Maybe they are picking on red bugs and AEFW

They say they can do damage to smaller or weak colony's ..as can aefw that's good to hear thanks for the reply.I'm going to try a couple to see what happens .... Why not?

And had red bugs even after OCDing on dips and inspections I used interceptor and rb are gone corals all seem healthy and growing with great color .... So I'm going to try and live with them for now! I literally have like a 100 good sized colony's plus who knows how many frags and pieces sucs I do have a. 240 running which was my old reef incas I get desperate in future

Gobiodon histrio forms a symbiotic relationship with Acropora nasuta out in nature by removing algae from around its colony. In aquaria, they actively remove red bugs from infested acros. I've used them and they do work on red bugs. They will not eliminate them totally, but will reduce the number of red bugs so the acros are not negatively affected. I have no data that suggests that they have a negative effect on AEFW populations....................Jim

I grabbed a couple and guess were there all at and hanging out lol ....... In the one colony that has no pest my digi montipora.... damn
