Acro recovering color question

I have a blue acro (I think its a stag?) that had lost some color in a tank transfer. It has started to encrust fairly fast, growing thicker branches in response to increased flow, coralites are starting to elongate and it has very good PE day and night.

The tips of this coral have actually gotten bluer than in my previous set up and the rims of many of the coralites that are more prominent have turned blue as well but the main body of the coral is still tan. Is this the process in which the coral is recovering its color where it will eventually regain its color throughout or am I missing something that is stopping it from totally getting its blue color back?

My other acros have recovered pretty well with my red planet regaining its green background and pink polyps and my pink lemonade is also recovering (although slower than the red planet..). Sorry for the long post but I am impatient and want my blue acro to be blue!

Patience is key. What other options have you got ? If the other acros are recovering then it's just a matter of time.

That is providing you're pursuing the same husbandry techniques that you were before. That the lighting isn't significantly different and you've got a similar placement relative to the light, approximately the same PAR and color.

:) I guess you are right! My only concern is that my nutrients are fairly low so I have started dosing seachem fuel and oyster feast. My nitrates are undetectable and my phosphates are at ~.02 using hanna phosphorus checker. I had 2 pieces of pink lemonade turn very pale after the switch to the new tank and I am guessing that nutrients had a lot to do with it.

I have only dosed the seachem fuel twice (Wednesday and Friday) at half the recommended dosage and used half the recommended dosage of oyster feast on Wednesday. I was wondering if the light tan color could have been from low nutrients.

Can be a long road with some pieces. After some alk swings and low nutrients, it took a couple months to get my color back. However at 6 months or so now with my vivid rainbow, and just recently started seeing the purple and greens again.
