Acro trim question

Hi Everyone, I mishandled my very first acro about eight months ago and about 95 percent of it looks dead. It still has about three nice branches (Green) and nice purple tips on those branches. I have since added about 20 sps frags about three being acro's and all are doing well. Now for the question, do I cut the good branches off or leave it alone. The branches will be just under an inch long if I cut them. Thanks, Dennis

So if I'm doing my math right, you have a 6" colony with three one inch tips that are still alive.

I would just frag off the living ends and replant them next to each other somewhere and eventually they will grow back together into one colony.

I would get rid of all the rest of the dead branches, as they will be just to good of a place for algae to start festering.

Thanks for responses. Reef Smac your TOTM article is one of the reasons I started keeping coral and also asking questions like this. Thanks. Dennis
