Acro ?

I have noticed that on 2 of my Acro's, a brownish type of algae on some of the sides of the coral but not the entire frag. What is this? What is the cause? Will it kill the acro?

I have tried to blow it off with a baster but it does not leave all the way. Just builds back up the next day.

Dip it in some kind of known coral dip. Usually helps with algae like that

I just dipped 6 acro's first in Sea Chem Reef Dip then rinsed in SW then in Revive then rinsed again in SW and placed back in tank. It made it worse.

If you do a lot of dip. It will stress your corals. Try to do once at a time. And be patience.

sea chem reef dip is very harsh. A local reefer who has a huge grow out system swears by coral rx. He claims even revive is harsh on sps.
