Acropora Nana

I am interested in buying an acropora nana but cannot find any information about this species. Does anyone have any experience with this type of Acro.

I've got the Larry Jackson (I believe this is a Nana) and its a VERY hardy acro. My first acro and i've tried to kill it several times. Its a golden tan color with blue/purple tips. Grows VERY well too. Fastest growing sps in my tank by far.

how high of lighting does it need?

depends on the depth of your tank,, it loves 250's . and Ive seen it growing like mad under 175's . Is this for your 30 gallon?

Yes, it is very hardy....just curious though, why did you try killing it, or was there a part of the coony you wanted to kill off?

my depth is 16 inches. i have 150 watts but it would only be 5 or 6 inches away from the surface of the water. my light is not suspended.

Nana and valida look quite similar. Both are good SPS choices if you have a low nutrient tank.

A figure of speach. I don't purposely try to kill my corals.. I've had a couple melt downs and that particular coral made it thru with flying colors. It has had a couple bleached spots a time or two but you really gotta have your parameters way out of whack to screw that one up.
