Acropora tips turning white

Hi, I know white tips on acros are growth, but time goes by, the whitening spreads down to the body. Does anyone know what is going on here?

I use olympus TG-6 in taking photos with flash underwater by the way.

First, welcome to Reef Central.

Looks like bleaching. The flesh looks healthy so I don't think pest. Lighting, temperature or alkalinity change? It would be helpful if you list all your tank's parameters. Nice pics with the underwater camera!

yeah I set temperature from 24 degree celsius to 23 as other acros are requiring this temperature and are happy with it. This specific acro has remarkable growth but the whitening on the tips are spreading.

Your parameters look good. 23c (73.4f) is a bit low IMO. But, I wouldn’t think that would cause what you are seeing. I keep my tank 76-78f (24.4-25.5c).

I don’t measure PAR, so I’m not sure if that could be the case.
