If kept at or near the top, yes. It may not have the fastest growth rates in that situation, but it is pretty tolerant of a wide variety of lighting levels.

in 97 it was vho's. pc's were big in 99 through 2005.

To OP. yes you absolutely can. I have seen amazing tanks with pc's in the past. probably in the top half like people have said. But people have kept with them no problem.
