Apart from tank raised frags does anyone find different levels of success with acros from different regions?
I find that the Indonesia aquacultured can be very hit or miss. Some hold colour very well but a lot seem to brown off and some seem to not grow at all.
Fiji stuff. Seems to be ok, I only have a couple of bits but they aren't doing bad.
Oz acros, seem to hold colour very very well, or even improve, they all look bleached when they come in but once settled seem quite resilient. Some have grown very very well, some haven't budged a mm in several months but have great pe and colour so hopefully a matter of time.
I do wonder if temperature makes a difference here, I think the indo waters are very warm, high 20's where as I know for a fact fiji waters are quite cool at 25-26 maybe a bit more in summer. Not sure about oz temps but sure they aren't as warm as Indonesia. As I keep my tank at 26 max I wonder if this maybe why the indo stuff seems very hit or miss for me.
