the wife and are making atrip down to Mote labs for a getaway. are there any coral shops with Sps selections or local collectors with frags in the area?

I have had the pleasie of shopping from Emmit in largo and locals in Orlando. wondering if I can add to my collection down there?

thanks!

That's the store in gulf gate right? Been about 6 months since my last visit there but never saw anything good as far as corals...I'll have to swing by and see what they have

Yea, by Gulf Gate. Last I was in there they had all kinds of euphyllia, acans, and other various LPS. Granted I didn't see any SPS, or acros.

Thanks for the advice folks. Had a nice trip to Sarasota for an overnight. I did make it by 3 of the shops.

Also nick and doms on exit 217 (sr 70) they have some really awesone red planet in too

This shop was a pretty big disappointment. 3 young people working in there who didnt have any interest in asking to help me or start a conversation. Limited selection and what they had looked pretty browned out and sickly. I believe it was called D&E aquarium? I wouldn't recommend this one.

Coral Connection, Epic Reef, Seascape, in Sarasota and Eco Reef if you want to head to Venice.

Epic Reef was my next stop. There was a pretty healthy looking selection of zoas, pallys and LPS in a few tanks and the couple at the store were very accomidating and friendly. There is an SPS setup in the rear of the store that looks like it just getting fired up. SPS looked a bit rough but they had a selection and tanks were pertty clean.

Coral Connection was the last shop we hit. Very impressive store. No bells and whistles just a nice shop with nice staff and a very decent selection. Prices were surprisingly good and there was something for everyone. SPS, LPS, softies, pallys and zoas. I would recommend a stop at this store if you havent been.

Thanks again people for the advice!

Hands down Epic Reef is the best bet in Sarasota for anything Reef

Easy to get to just take the Bee Ridge exit at I75 and head west for a few miles it will be on the right hand side(North side) just past the mini golf course you will pass.

Employee post. I am not an employee of Epic Reef. I am new to the hobby and Epic Reef has helped me tremendously to get my 210 Display tank and I just put my two grow out tanks in my converted Garage up and running. I don't know you and don't appreciate you posting things like this about me.
