Acros

I recently purchased two acros that were browned. The polyps are extended and things are looking up!

My questions is: Is there a rule of thumb for moving them up in the tank to get them to color up (since I believe they should be high in the tank). Do I wait for excellent PE then move? is it a time thing? Do I wait untill they show some color, or just wait and if they don't color move them.....

General rule of thumb is to start them low and move them up a little every week or so.

My general rule of thumb is put them wherever I have room. My water parameters are where they should be so things just color up.

The moving up part is just so they can get acclimated to you lighting. Stop moving them once you get them where you want them in your tank. If your water quality is good they will color up regardless as to where you put them. It will be a slow process, they will not color up overnight. Every tank is different: lighting, flow, nutrients etc will be key factors in the coloration.
