Acrylic for Frag Tank

I was wanting to have a frag tank made before PBMAS. I emailed and texted a guy in Auburndale that makes them. He didn't get back to me for about 4 - 5 days. When he did he said he had just had emergency gallbladder surgery. This was on a Friday. He said he was going to call me on Monday to give me a price. He never called back even though I had sent him several more text to let me know if he could still do it. This has set me back even farther for having a tank made.

I want a tank with the measurements of 24 x 20 x 9. I talked to Prospect Plastics and their prices were high. I have also pursued other avenues with no luck. At this point I am willing to make it myself. :lmao: For those of you who have made your own acrylic items where do you get your acrylic from? I want to buy it precut since I am not comfortable with the cutting myself.

Can't acryllic be scored and snapped? Pretty simple. Looking forward to this thread. I always want to build tanks with wierd dimensions to fit into wierd spots.

Talk to Matt. Its not difficult to work with but its difficult to make look nice. I've done a few odd projects but it never comes out as "clean" as I like but I'm also very picky.

I did talk to Matt. We were at Hydra for the FMAS membership drive. I thought he said he could help me, but it was noisy so I could have completely misunderstood. I sent him 5 pms and never heard back. :hammer: All I need is a yes or no so I know if I need to look elsewhere. No explanations needed. We all have our own lives and prioritize our time how we want to. No hard feelings and I completely understand.

I just heard back from the guy in central Florida that does the acrylic work. He didn't respond sooner because he had just had emergency gall bladder surgery. He does the rounded corners and slightly beveled top. I will see what his price is and how fast he could do it.

After I took the time and spoke with you at the meeting you sent me this message and now after he stood you up you want me to again take time out again lol Very sorry but I have now already booked other jobs. What's a set of acryllic for a tank go for? Just curious if in the future I should glue my own tanks together.

That depends....size of tank, thickness of materials, cast or extruded acrylic, american or cheap chinese acrylic, clear or colors, time of labor
