Acrylic scratch remover ????

Anyone out there used or recommend a cettain type of acrylic scratch remover? I am looking to repair some scratches on the OUTSIDE of my tank.Thanks.

Which kit do you get? KR-70?
How would you use it under water (any diff than on the outside)?
How long does it take? How difficult?

I used the 12"x12" sheets. 2800 grit to 12000. Most of the repairs can be done by starting a 4000 and working you way up.

NC-78-1 Acrylic Restoral Kit Is the one I buy. It's more money but if you take you time the end results are great.

KR-70, or you can buy individual big sheets elsewhere.
Underwater is no different than on the outside...just harder really. Depending on the scratch, I'll put the sheet on my magnet cleaner and just go back and forth and let it do the work....move up to a higher grit and start over....

It is quite time consuming depending on how big and more importantly, how deep of a scratch. Patience is absolutely key to success.

The outside is a little different for me...I use a combination of things. For light scratches and polishing up, I like to use the liquid abrasives, Novus 1, 2 and 3. Sometimes I'll use both the sand paper and then the Novus to get a nice shine back on the outside (obviously cannot use the liquids on the inside).
