Hi all,

for DIY sump what thickness acrylic would be necessary. I’m fairly handy with DIY however I’ve never worked with acrylic but believe I have the skills, but I’m unsure on thickness I’m guessing between sump size is approximately 900mm x 500mm x 400mm roughly.

I made essentially a 90 gallon tank with 1/4”. It needed bracing on top so it didn’t bow out. I would use thicker next time.

I was going to use 10mm cast acrylic plus use a 70mm-100mm wide rim to brace and carry bulkheads, dosing cables etc

6mm should be fine for an algae reactor I’m guessing.
