Acrylic thickness for 375g tank (96" x 30" x 30")

hey xenon,,,are you about to upgrade already,,,?? i know a guy with over 600g acrylic tank,,,making 1/2thickness,,,he had a thread here on rc,,,goldwing9,,,
 
Yeah, I always knew I would upgrade.

A 90g tank is just a tease in this hobby. :)

96 long and 30 height calls for 1" acrylic otherwise there will be bowing and will not have enough of a safety factor for mini bubbles in the joints, crasing and mini cracks in the corners of the holes. This thickness will allow larger top holes, at that depth belive me you need the working space.
Try Envision acrylics. In 1" it was same price than others in 3/4" and the workmanship was excellent.
 
I just ordered a seven foot tank from Tenecor with Eurobracing only. 84 x 30 x 28. It will be 1.25 inches thick. The estimate is about twice what you were quoted. No bargains out there I guess.
