I have one of these it is a dark dark red- I wanted to say maroon but that name is already taken - which is really awesome my only fear is that it will breed and destroy my rose, millies, hammers and acros, oh my. Anyone have any info or just in case containment info.-- More importantly are there any clowns that will host and if so which ones.

I wouldn't worry too much. Waratahs are a cold water anemone that usually don't last long in warm water. I've been keeping several of them for years now......in my cold water reef (temp of 55 F). As for breeding.....they are mouth brooders. When happy, they spit out dozens of babies from their mouth. I'm not sure if a clown would host in it or not....this anemone is alien to them and packs a powerful sting.

I just order one, and the person i ordered from said they do fine in 76 to 80 degree temps. I hope so

Waratahs are native to Southern Australia, Tasmania, and New Zealand where they will never see temps above 65 F. Whether they can be acclimated to higher temps is unknown to me....I just don't know anyone who has succeeded long term keeping them in warm water.
