Other than for fluorescence and aesthetics, are there any actinic bulbs that have a respectable par value for SPS?

actinics are not made for par, but for better coral color. actinics and par are not generally put in the same sentence

I was given a light brown monti with an electric purple rim, within weeks no purple rim. when drinking a beer with chad we discussed why. my lighting was 250mh xm20k, his 2x250mh xm14k w/ 2xvho super actinic. then I noticed his colors were far brighter than mine. plus actinic only looks awesome

On a side not, does a fiji purple have more par than an ATI Blue Plus? I know that it peaks in the red spectrum, just didn't know how they faired.

Anyone ever run a fiji purple and actinics at dusk/dawn? Wouldn't his help red, purple and green fluoresce?

@Alex - you can find the PAR ratings from Grim and also this post; also by Grim.

I don't think it has more, but pretty close. The fiji bulb with actinics do look pretty sweet together...I ran them that way for a while before I incoprorated some RB LED strips to my T5 fixture.

Would anybody happen to have a picture of a pure actinic with Fiji Purple or ATI Purple Plus? My thinking is that maybe with the right combo, purples, pinks, blues and greens can all fluoresce instead of just hints of green with actinic only.

During sun up or sun down I have just the B+, B+, Act, Purp running. It's really blue with a definite hint of purple. Everything glow nicely. Reds, oranges really pop out.
