active schooling fish for 265

hi guys, any suggestions for an active schooling fish in a 265. was thinking blue chromis, but some say they might pick each other off.

was also thinking lytail antheis, already have a male and female in my 57 for 2 years so i think i should be able to keep them alive
 
Pretty much every reef photo from the south pacific is awash in anthias. I would love to have a whole bunch of them. IMO, the Lyretails are a great choice - colorful and easy to feed (unlike most others of the sp that require multiply feedings/day)

i wasnt sure if they would school or shoal in a large aquaiam . i used to have 3 females and 1 male in my 57. they didnt really hang out together and within a few months i was down to just 1 male and female. i dont really notice my male and female hanging out, but maybe a group a 15 would.

do you think i should do 1 male and 14 females or should i get another male. or maybe just wait to see if a female turns into a male
 
If you can find them, how about a big school (20+, the more the merrier) of Red-spot Cardinals? If you have a bigger fish that will scare them a little without doing any harm, it might force them to truly school (rather than shoal) in a tank that size. Be careful if you have any fish that might eat them.

But yeah, Anthias are great fish, even though they shoal more than school. I would have gotten some Lyretails if they didn't get so big. I tried to get a harem of Disbars going, but over about 15 females bought altogether over four online purchases, only two made it long term.

Yes I like the red spots. Truest beautiful fish but hear they easily frightened. Will only have pair Belarus angels hippo yellow blond naso tang and 2 dwarfs angel and pair of lytails Don't think any of those will eat them but might scare them

I have 3 Blue Reef Chromis in my 90g - originally put 5 in- ended up with 4, then 3, added another and ended up with 3 again, so 3 it is. They swim together and are very active. They've been in the tank now about 3 weeks. I won't try to add more. I read on a post by SK8R, that whether or not they winnow down has to do with sleeping holes that they like - if not enough that they like, they winnow down. For me, I believe that was 3, even though I have lots of rockwork.

3 weeks is not success. I still feel you will end up with one.

I have had 3 in my 90 for over 2.5 years now. He has a chance.

They loosely swim together for some of the day and each sleep in one of the 3 rock structures in the tank ((I think having 3 separate rock structures helps for territory and I feed the tank well every evening)
