I have a a Vortech MP40QD in my 135 gal tank and love the flow. It's highest setting is 55% power and provides good water movement in the tank, which is 6 feet long. I just feel the other end may not be getting optimal flow so I want to add another Vortech on the other side. I have the red link and want to be able to play with the different settings with having 2 pumps.
I went on the Ecotech site and they recommend an MP10QD to supplement the MP40. My glass thickness is .38 in so its at the upper level of what an MP10 can be placed on.
I guess my question is if another MP40QD will be too much flow for my tank? I don't have many corals yet, mainly LPS. Also have an h. Magnifica anemone.
Let me know what your experience is. Thanks!!
