Addatives and Ca Reactors

Doing some research on Ca Reactors....
I am wondering if you are using a Reactor what addatives you won't need to does anymore, calcium and buffer for sure.
How about Iodine, Magnesium, Molybidum, etc....

BTW Pardon my spelling...

I don't supplement iodine and molybdenum in any case. Magnesium might not need supplementing much if you're lucky or are willing to do some media tuning with dolomite.

I use the Gen-X media in my Geo reactor and do not need to supplement iodine, Mag, or anything. I check my Mag every month or so and it always reads between 1320-1480. I think that there is enough of the necessary supplements that come from the media, thus I do not have to add anything.

The only reason that you might need Calcium or Alk additives is for when you do a water change to bring the new water up to the desired levels to match your tank or when you set up the reactor to bring the tank parameters up to desired levels.
