I know this has been discussed numerous times... But, If I feed 6-8 times a day.... Will this greatly better my chances of keep an angel? id like to add a scribbled angel or imperator or idol....

I just think getting them out would be a nightmare... Still on the fence if i want to risk or not.. I do have a crosshatch trigger and he does not eat any inverts and so on......

angels do what they do. they will always be a risk no matter how much you feed.

The idol is a different topic. I would try that before an angel

I love my Idol - best fish ever. But it took a liking to my zoas and wiped them out. Otherwise it has been reef-safe for me. I also suspect getting a "good" Idol is definitely hit or miss (that is..one that will adapt to aquarium life and thrive).

Also, they are relatively defenseless, somewhat timid when freshly introduced and have small mouths, so depending on what established fish you already have, it may not go so well for a new Idol being introduced.

If you have the funds, consider adding a conspicuous angel. They are absolutely stunning fish and seem to be relatively reef safe. I have seen numerous pictures and videos of these fish kept on large sps dominant tanks. Once again, a very majestic and beautiful fish...definitely on my must have once I get a 350+ tank.

cool cool, i just have to see if i can chance it now.. :headwalls:

i do love having all types of corals.. so we will see, ugh

The angel may pick on lps and zoos , xenia . Sps they usually don't bother much . If it were mine I could not have a 400 gallon tank without one .
