Hi guys,

i am setting up an anemone tank to house my over populated roses and to put one of my carpet in it as my tank is a bit too small for all 3 carpets. I want to add som eplants to amke it look cool. what kind of marine plants are safe/non-toxic for anemones?

thanks.

I have lots of halimeda in the tank that is going to house my RBTA. It's a sturdy calcerous plant that takes a little while to get established, but once it has, it takes off and volunteers all over the tank (it both roots in the sand and attaches to live rock). The green is a really nice visual contrast to anemones and corals. Just make sure to dose calcium regularly, and it should do well for you--it thrives in the high lighting anemones need.

2nd on the halmedia, and it doesn't show signs of being stung like most corals will.
I had a small forest of the stuff in my 90g w/ 2 big nems, looked great.

This is an old tank/pics, all I could find at the moment.

When I transferred to my 180g, I culled it back quite a bit as this is when I found out they soaked up calcium, not real bad, but this was b4 my reactor, and beginning of sps.

thanks guys nice tank BTW. i am a bit concern about the CA consumption............. what about the magrove? are they good for carpet/bta tank?

Mangroves have to have leaves clear from SW.
I actually plan to add halmedia again soon, just that at the time I wasn't dosing or running a reactor.
It's not like they rob alot of CA, just something to consider.
