Adding Montis Between Acros

Put your montis down low and let them grow up and into your stuff. I sit corals on top of and inside of Montis all the time. Usually the montis just grow up and around the acros. The acros almost always win. If you are sucessful in this hobby your corals will grow into as much space as you give them. Close, far doesnt matter. If you corals arent growing into each other in a couple of years or so then you are doing something wrong.

I like this look as well. The first time I took note of it was at Atlantis Marine World in Riverhead, Long Island. I also tried it with chalices, however you have to take account for the sweepers and give plenty of room between the chalice and the acro.

Interesting! Twice this week my green cap and green slimmer grew within a 1/4 inch of each other. The cap was killed back about another 1/4 from the edge. So in this case acro wins!

Must have happened At night as never saw the battle. Interesting the slimmer was able to pre-emptively attack the encroaching cap that far away
