Adding UV or near UV to existing LED system

Hello,

I recently purchased a LED lighting upgrade kit. The Steve's LEDs Biocube 29 LED light system. It is a pretty nice system but I want more corals to "fluoresce". I was thinking about adding two or four of these close to UV LEDS

Now these are a lot weaker than my Luxon ES LEDs. I am wondering if they will result in the glow effect I so desire or just be washed out by my existing array of 24 Luxon ES LEDs. I don't care about the tank being brighter I just want more fluoresce. Then there is the whole 3watt vs 10watt thing... Does anyone have any advice?

It seems the jury is still out, although what I've personally read it will... Below has a link to a similar forum. The last comment I posted has a ton about coral pigment extraction and emissions (aka florescence pop).

Yeah it sure is. Question is are the 450nm LEDs or the 400nm ones the way to go...

450nm is for growth, stick to 400-420nm

+1 for the 450nm comment. Totally true. If you look at the last post on the thread it has 4 articles strictly on color extraction and emission wavelengths, aka color pop (FCP's).
