adding watermark sig.

You'll probably find most people that reply to this thread will say photoshop just because its the most popular photo editor. :) Don't have photoshop? GIMP isn't lacking much on photoshop and its free.

There are a lot of different ways to watermark your pictures, probably the easiest is to design your water mark on its own then you can make it into a brush. Then to apply it all you have to do is pick it from the brush menu and click it onto your picture. :)
 
Photoshop CS, just use "Type tool".
The © symbol can be copy paste from Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Character Map.
 
I do it dynamically with a PHP app I wrote that sits on my web server. It loads my original image out of a protected directory, and creates a new graphic on the fly with the watermark. My original remains untouched, in case I want to use it for something else.

For example:
