Additives to diet

I'm wondering if I can give my common clown a piece of precooked table shrimp or should it be raw? I just feel that they don't have enough variety in their diet an dthey may get imbalances.

Precooked table shrimp really isn't a good choice to feed Clownfishes or anemones. Uncooked seafoods would be much better. Clownfish will usually take almost any prepared foods. Here's a partial listing of some other things that I feed Clownfish: frozen HUFA enriched mysid shrimp, HUFA enriched artemia (brine shrimp), nori, VibraGro/Saltwater Staple (crushed pellets), Ocean Nutrition flake, ProSalt Pro Green, Cyclopeeze.
A product called Selcon can be used to soak and enrich almost any food given to fishes.

Going off-topic - from everything I have read, a 2.5G tank is way too small for two (2) clowns (based on the information in your profile). You might want to research this and consider a larger tank for them.

2.5 g most likely will get too cold for the clowns unless you get a heater for them. At at least a 20 g tank. Even with this you will need a heater. This tank is not too expensive, just about the cost of the two fish.

Once again I plan on upgrading soon. This tank was just a test to see if I liked the hobby but I probably haven't even got a taste with that small of a tank!
