adhesive background

Does anyone have experience with using this? I'm thinking about either trying it out or just painting the back of my new tank black. Thanks in advance for all comments!

adheasive... just be careful with air bubbles. I perfer painting it.

I painted a piece of cardboard and placed it up against the back of my first tank. You could not tell the difference in it and any other type back. I just decided to paint my current tank.

I used an adhesive background on my tank. It is IMPOSSIBLE to apply this stuff without getting air bubbles, but I was fortunate enough to cover them with rock. I would recommend painting - better results, probably cheaper.

I just use a wide screen TV, a little wider than the tank. Then tune it to Discovery channel or NatGeo when they have a reef program. Do avoid shark week as it frightens the fish.

Or put Shark week on when introduceing your sixth tang to your 50 gallon tank.... So they dont fight each other over space. This way they all hide and fear for their lives. Then a few days later they dont even notice the new guy.

Tip the tank so that the back side is up & parallel to the floor. Make sure that the back surface is clean. Mix up some soapy water in a spray bottle and spray the back of the tank. Peel the backing off the back of the film and slide it onto back of the tank. The soapy mixture will allow you to slide the film around and get it into position. Using a credit card, force the trapped air and water from beneath the film. Start from one side and move across the tank. Wait a few hours for it to dry & you'll love the way it looks. I don't have any bubbles!

If you add a lot of clean Jello into the water and keep the room cold it might work.
