Advice on Protein Skimmer please

Hi Guys!

Could use some advice on a protein skimmer that would be efficient for my system without breaking the bank. I have 150 gallon FOWLR with about 75 lbs of live rock, 30 gallon sump and 37 gallon refuge. I believe the 150 to be heavily stocked and nitrates are a constant problem. My current skimmer is a Fission rated for up to 100 gallons.

Clown trigger, Niger trigger, Black Hawaiin trigger, Huma Huma trigger, Black spotted puffer, Snowflake eel, Naso Tang, 2 Yellow tangs, 3 spot damsel and a Neon velvet damsel. ( can't catch the damsels without tearing down tank or they would be gone! lol)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

depends on how much you want to spend....

On the cheaper side, there is the MSX ($300) or Octo, Vertex ($320). Also Warner Marine is a slightly more of an expensive option at a good price. Eshopps also offers a midrange cone

Mid-range/High end, there is the ATB cones ($800- 1k) or even smaller bubble kings (1k+). Also Deltec, Euroreef, Reeflo could suit your needs
