I am new to the hobby and about 3 months ago I set up an Eclipse 12. I'm starting to think that was a bad decision. I can't seem to get the parameters stable, and the lighting and filtration suck. So I was thinking on upgrading to a new, larger aquarium. I was thinking about the Aquapod 24. So, if anyone that has this tank could give me some feedback as to how much you like/don't like it, it would be appreciated.

I have a 24 aquapod GREAT tank love it. That is the problem with Eclipse tanks. Bad for salt, OK for freshwater.
Do a few mods like the fans and pump(s).
You are good to go. Check the forum a lot of good/great info here.
Buy it, you will like it, plus it's a cool tank.
I also have a 90, 40, and 12 JBJ plus two 10's that I'm breaking-down
and dropping everything into the 24.

You need to have a larger tank as its very difficult to keep things stable particularly that small. I recently set up the JBL nano and while only 24 gallons. much easier to keep them more stable. I even have a custom chiller on it but have not needed to even use it. I just think these Nano's are great. I am getting the 32 Finnex M tank next.

DRC69 do you have one with metal halides? And if so do you have the 70W or the 150W?

I'm in the market and I'm trying to get my hands on a Aquapod 24 HQI 150W but it's proving to be difficult. My LFS has a 24 HQI 70W and I was wondering if that would do me just fine. Keeping in mind that I may want to do some acros and tridacnas some day.

NO, I have the PC setup. I looked at the 70w MH setup but the price was to high at the LFS. With 4 tanks in the house now, the elect. bill was on my mind.
But I think the 70 would do you well and be very cool to have on a small setup.

Ok, I am thinking about modding my eclipse, because I work off of allowence and I can't afford a new tank. I am thinking about cutting off the back of the hood, then removing the old filter and adding something better. But I need suggestions on what filter to add. Suggestions?
